The Choral and String Orchestra Workshops, open to all, comprise the main activity of the festival. Amateur musicians come from all over Europe each year to participate.
Do you sing or play in an orchestra? The Puycelsi Festival and its workshops provide a unique possibility to spend an intense music vacation in an outstanding location.
The French/German artistic and teaching specialists will share their abilities and knowledge with you! Rehearsal instruction will be done mostly in French, but also in German and English.
The festival takes place in Puycelsi in the Tarn region of France.
Explore the countryside, partake in the local gastronomy (wine, honey, foie gras, patés, confit, jam...), high quality meals prepared by an excellent caterer who places great emphasis on local products.
Enjoy good music and conviviality! We are proud to welcome musicians from all Europe each year, in a spirit of tolerance and sharing. We do not allow discrimination against anyone for any reason: age, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation.
For a number of years now the Puycelsi Festival has been exploring seldom performed vocal music.
A week of intensive musical work by the festival chorus leads to a final concert as the grand finale of a week devoted to concerts and recitals given by invited artists and ensembles.
The festival is organized by the registered Association HARP of Puycelsi, which hopes through its work to spread the reputation of this magnificant village, which is located in the Tarn region and which has been officially classified as one of the most beautiful villages of France.
To create special musical events, to share them in a convivial atmosphere while discovering one’s own voice and self, the enjoyment of playing in an orchestra and experiencing a magnificant region and countryside: such are the ambitious goals of our Festival!
Since 2015, Éric Beillevaire is the artistic director and leads a talented and highly motivated team.
The concerts are conducted by Olivier Kaspar
